NICK TETOROS  

OWNER/HEAD PERSONAL TRAINER/GROUP CLASS INSTRUCTOR

Nick Tetoros was a Professional Boxer and Kickboxer for 11 years in which he held several titles and belts, including World Kickboxing Champion 1998 and WBO World Boxing Organization ranked #8 in 2003.

He has lived in Australia, and New Zealand, where he had the chance to compete as an amateur and professional in boxing and kickboxing.  He represented Australia at the pre Olympic boxing trials in 1991.

Nick was a sparring partner of former world champion, Kostya Tszyu, in preparation for Kostya’s world title elimination fight.

Alongside boxing promoter Peter Maniatis, Nick co-founded the TVH KO Boxing Show on channel 31 and acted as a co-host. During that time he volunteered at the PCYC, helping train kids from all different backgrounds.

Nick retired from his pro fighting career in 2003 and went on training clients at various elite gyms in Melbourne.

Together with his wife Tonia, Nick opened up Fitness Ring in 2008.

Nick's specialty is boxing, kickboxing, and Muay Thai training.  With his extensive fighting background, Nick is passionate about teaching proper technique to everyone from beginners to fighters preparing for a bout. He will teach you everything you need to know about boxing. A fully qualified personal trainer, Nick has a great personality and offers a very fun, motivational and positive atmosphere whilst training clients.

Nick's qualifications include Certificate 3/4, First Aid, CPR, Boxing for PT's Level 2, TRX Group Suspension Training Level 1.

 

Q. What gets you out of bed in the morning?

The best way to start my morning is by waking up to teach my Boot Camp and private sessions. Starting off the day in a positive and active way.

Q. What genre of music describes your personality?

Soul/Funk music, especially James Brown!

Q. What would you order for your last meal?

A whole grilled snapper, greek salad

TONIA BOUZETOS

MANAGING DIRECTOR/GROUP CLASS INSTRUCTOR

Tonia has a background in the weight loss industry on both sides of the Pacific, where she worked on personal and corporate excellence at the highest levels of one of the world’s leading companies in the field. Plus she has Life Coaching certifications from Christopher Howard Training, qualifications in Group Fitness Training, Eriksonian Hypnosis, and Neurological Linguistic Programming (NLP).

Tonia is the manager of sales and marketing, accounts, and group training.  She also conducts weight loss coaching as an addition to personal training to ensure clients get the results they desire. Her role is to ensure that every person who trains at Fitness Ring receives personalized and friendly service at all times.

 

Q. What gets you out of bed in the morning?

The promise of a new day and a cup of coffee. Then mum duties call!

Q. What genre of music describes your personality?

I'm all about the 90's Grunge genre. NIN, Alice In Chains, Guns N Roses, Skid Row, Tool, to name a few... I also love the Prince, George Michael, Mariah Carey, Celine Dion, and Madonna days. And of course lots of greek tunes to pick up the mood.

Q. What would you order for your last meal?

My last meal would have to be at Squires Loft. Eye fillet steak, garden salad, and the best ever mushroom sauce on the planet! And dessert would definitely be a variety of cakes and coffees.

MICHAEL VIRGONA

PERSONAL TRAINER/ GROUP CLASS INSTRUCTOR

Michael's passion for the fitness industry began 10 years ago with his background in Taekwondo where he competed at a high level for 10 years. He then went on to complete his certificate 3 & 4 in personal training and never looked back.

Michael loves helping his clients to be the best that they can both in and out of the gym. He takes a holistic approach to health specializing in strength and conditioning. He is passionate about helping people become the strongest version of themselves through fitness and believes that if you put in the hard work now you’ll reap tremendous benefits for life. 

Michael’s qualifications include Certificate 3&4 in Fitness, Level 1 Precision Nutrition, First Aid, CPR

My wife telling me I snore too loudly.

My love for my family and my work.

Lately I’ve been loving funk and neo soul music!

A major burger with bacon and egg from Tuckshop Takeaway in Caulfield. You’ll be sorely missed.
